Well I hope all of you had a wonderful Christmas and a very happy New Year.  We had our first Christmas Party at the Brickhouse in the Amanas.  We had a great turn out for our very first party.  We had two guests, Bob & Mary Hough from Waverly, and 25 members.  Thank you all for coming.  We had a short meeting after breakfast and decided that all the members at the Christmas meeting will be considered Charter members.  Don’t worry, those of you who didn’t join until after the party, you didn’t miss getting a pin or $100, none of us got that either.  Maybe we should bring it up at the next meeting and get on the new state director.  I am sure he would do something about that right away.  By the way, our new State Director is Don Fox.  Go ahead and harass him about it and see how far you get.

So far there are six bikes going to West Virginia for the Rally.  Those of us riding with the Wiercks, put Rick in charge, because he has the bike that knows the git on’s and git offs, and can make the go rounds every time.  Never misses a turn thanks to the GPS.  The turns he makes may not be the right ones, but he doesn’t miss them.  He can even make those following him ride in circles around gas stations like we were circling the wagons.  Boy I tell you that was a sight.  Not only did everyone follow him once, but we went three times around.  You can just imagine the looks we got from the people buying gas.  Believe me we really looked dangerous, (NOT).

Since our Christmas meeting we have gained several new members.  Mike and Sandy Pint, Bob and Mary Hough, and Bob Guzman … not sure how many members we have now.  I will have to do some research into that and let you know.

We had a soup supper at Gary and Carolyn William house for our January meeting.  Thank you for putting that together.  It was decided at that meeting that we will meet on Tuesday night instead of Thursday, so more of our members are able to attend the rides or suppers in the winter.  A tentative calendar was made up and will follow my ramblings.  From what I heard, as usual the girls made most of the decisions.  I was unable to attend, I am sure that is the way things went.  If any one has any other suggestions please don’t hesitate to speak up and we will get it on the calendar.  Just like last year, we would like each member to plan a ride.  It could be just an evening ride during the week or a Saturday or Sunday ride all day.  Half day, what ever you want to do.  By participating you have more fun.  Get involved, you as members make or break a club.  The more you get involved the more fun you have.  TRUST ME!!??  By the looks of the calendar we do have some pretty good destinations.  Way to go girls.
