The Headquarters for this year’s Gold Classic will be the Quality Inn & Suites, 201 Sugarloaf Road, Hendersonville, NC. We strongly encourage everyone who attends the Rally to stay at the Headquarters Motel, because they give us the additional rooms that we need for Hospitality, Registration, etc. on the assumption that we’re all staying there.
When calling to make your reservations, be sure to call (828) 692-7231 and tell them you are with AGWA. We have blocked 75 rooms for the Rally at a fantastic rate of $59 per night, plus tax (this rate is available for the first 75 rooms booked). There is an additional charge for pets, and all pets must be registered.

This is not the fanciest motel around, and it is older (has a lot of character), but it is very clean and well kept, and they have everything available that we need. They are also very willing to work with us. We could go someplace that is more fancy or newer – but in doing so we would also be paying $20 to $40 more per night. So, for the price we think that this is an excellent location for our 2008 Gold Classic!
You can go to the Quality Inn Web Site and get much more information on this motel, but there are three key things that we want to tell you about right from the start. (1) This is a Pet Friendly Motel, for those that like to travel with their Pets; (2) The Room Price Includes a Free Hot Breakfast every morning (this is a sit down breakfast – not a continental breakfast or a buffet); and (3) This is a 2-story Motel with no elevators, and some rooms are inside access and some outside. We realize that we have a few members who may have problems dealing with a second floor room with no elevator, so we encourage these folks to make their reservations early. All of the rooms have cable television, coffee makers, hair dryers, irons and ironing boards, and free high-speed internet access, and some rooms have microwaves and refrigerators. The motel also has an indoor heated pool, sauna, hot tub, game room, exercise room and miniature golf course.
